Cart For A Cause Back Today With Lazy Ox Canteen

After last week's hiatus, everyone's favorite food truck is back on the streets today (and every Tuesday through November) with gourmet lunches courtesy of Josef Centeno of the Lazy Ox Canteen.  Today's lunch menu has not been released, but based on what the seasoned chef serves up at his upscale Little Tokyo gastropub it will likely be scrumptious comfort food, possibly with a dash of Asian influence, and definitely flavorful.

The truck will be parked at the Activision and Tennis Channel building in Santa Monica, 2850 Ocean Park Blvd. at 28th Street from 11:30am-1:30pm. With gourmet boxed lunches at $10 a pop (probably more than you typically spend eating out for lunch), Cart for a Cause is the perfect solution to today's lunchtime dilemma.  If that's not reason enough to get you to the truck, then maybe the fact that all proceeds from sold lunches go to St. Vincent's Meals on Wheels program will sway you.  So, by indulging in today's epicurean offerings you're also giving to charity. Pretty sweet deal, huh? When else will you ever be able to say that eating a delicious gourmet meal (for cheap!) was actually an altruistic act and kind of be telling the truth?

There are only 150 lunches to go around and it's first-come-first-served, so you better clear your schedule and hold your calls if you want to beat the crowd!
