Cart for a Cause's launch with Alex Becker of Nobu was an overwhelming success, raising over $4000 in less than four hours. The chef served up gourmet boxed lunches of his finest concoctions from the charity's food truck parked behind the UTA building. It's probably the only food truck in town that has suited agents standing on its line to eat lunch out of a box on the ground (we have pictures to prove it!), but hey, it's Nobu. And it's for a great cause. Proceeds from the $10 meals go to the St. Vincent's Meals on Wheels program.
Cart for a Cause is back (every Tuesday through November) with today's lunches courtesy of David Myers and Dong Choi of Comme Ça, who have created two exclusive menu items for the occasion. The truck will be parked at the Pacific Design Center from 12pm-2:30pm, but be sure to get there early as there are only 150 meals available, and no cutsies!
