1. Falling Whistles
With signature necklaces of vintage-style whistles in an array of shiny and brushed metals on a chain or leather string, Falling Whistles supports its campaign to end Africa's deadliest war by building an army of whistleblowers for peace in Congo. After the founders encountered young former child soldiers in eastern Congo who recounted stories of being armed with only a whistle at the front lines of Congo's two-decade-long war, that became their mission's symbol. The whistles not only represent lending a voice to civilians of the war-torn country, but also benefit Falling Whistles' peace initiatives such as organizing local chapters, investing in Congolese entrepreneurs on the ground, and political campaigns to promote free and fair elections in Congo, as well as U.S. government aid from senior diplomats.
