Hit up the half-pipe and galleries of DTLA

Now that you've got your beach fix for the moment, make sure to spend some time in Downtown LA, arguably the city's hippest, most upcoming area. The X Games are being held at LA Live from June 28th-July 1st with tickets from $10 to see some high-flying extreme sports (and dream about the skateboard career that could have been if Mom hadn't stopped you from hanging out with the emo kids in 6th grade). From LA Live you can walk (!) to Union Station and take the Metro (!!) to Little Tokyo, home to a smattering of off-beat art galleries and the delicious German-style sausages and beer of Wurstkutche.
X Games at LA Live: 800 W Olympic Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90015
Wurstkutche: 800 E 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013
