Fun In The Sun: Manhattan Beach Events To Check Out This Summer

From July 30th through August 3rd, Manhattan Beach will be hosting the 53rd annual International Surf Festival. One of the most popular events of the festival is the Judge Taplin Lifeguard Medley Relay. Lifeguards from all of SoCal compete in teams against each other. The teams battle each other in swimming, paddling and 2-man dory races. You can check out some major eye-candy while cheering on the lifeguards from your hometown. The other two major events of the festival are the Dwight Crum Pier-to-Pier Swim and the Charley Saikley 6-Man Volleyball Tournament. The festival also includes surfing and bodysurfing competitions.
