Cinespia at Hollywood Forever Cemetery
[via @Cinespia] Voluntarily hanging out in a graveyard on your free time may sound like something only those interested in performing seances would do, but that's certainly not the case at L.A.'s Hollywood Forever Cemetery. The famous burial grounds honor the departed by inviting the living to celebrate life at concerts, special events and a summer movie series, Cinespia, held on the (unplotted) cemetery lawns. If you haven't attended an event here, we suggest you get on it. Concerts are scheduled throughout the year, but it's the summer months that bring the outdoor movies to the grassy Fairbanks lawn under the open skies. So bring out your blankets, lawn chairs, picnic baskets, wine, beer and whatever else you'll want with you for showtime. With a historical and somewhat eerie location, BYOB, a DJ spinning before and after the movie, this is probably one of the best places for a romantic/unusual date or a place to get together with all of your friends. [via @msjensays] Price: $12 general admission. Purchase tickets in advance HERE, they do sell out fast. Upcoming Screenings: Princess Bride, 6/15; The Man Who Knew Too Much, 6/22; Badlands, 6/29; Point Break, 7/3.
