What inspires your sense of style?
I like referencing different things. I like metal and a lot of indigenous jewelry from Africa, Thailand, Tibet – stuff like that. They all use a lot of brass and metal and the silversmithing is immaculate. You can tell when somebody has hand made something versus a production line. I like anything that has a story to it. Right now I’m safety pinning using safety pins as kind of punk sequence because they look really good in the light. I like juxtaposition – at the end of the day adornment is just about how it makes you feel and I think it’s good to be playful. I love sequence, I love jewelry and I love random band shirts.
