Last night, friends and family of actress and photographer Chenoa Maxwell gathered at the Papillion Institute of Art downtown to celebrate a career milestone for her with her very first solo art exhibit.

The private celebration of Maxwell's inaugural one-woman show, "Introspection: India" drew an eclectic crowd excited to see her work all on its own. Inspired by her travels, the the photographs in her show capture the people of India in their natural environment and offer viewers a candid glimpse into their lives. Maxwell's opening reception attendees admired her work and toasted her achievement with cocktails as the artist explained her project and posed for cameras with her guests.

"Introspection: India" opens today and will be on display through April 7 at the P.I.A. And if you want to hear about her exhibition straight from the artist herself, Maxwell will be in the gallery tomorrow evening for a discussion on art that's open for all to attend so come ready with your questions!
