UPDATE: We have just received word that The Standard Hotel, NYC will indeed be getting a pool in the near future! HOORAY!

You see the vending machine behind that cute little blond girl? It's the new Standard Hotel boardshorst/bikini machine (the first-ever) with Quiksilver, and it debuted in L.A. this month.  We heard about these vending machines awhile ago, and wondered if they were the key to saving a district (Meatpacking) that was on the verge of extinction.  There's just one problem.  The Standard L.A. actually has a pool, the Standard, NYC does not.  Minor detail right? Boardshorts and bikini's aren't the only items you can get from these vending machines. They also offer CONDOMS!  Now we're talking, that is definitely something the guests at the Standard, NYC can utilize!
