[Rooftop of Standard Hotel, downtown LA, Launch of Postopolis! LA Photos by ANDREAS BRANCH for PMc] Two years ago Storefront for Art and Architecture in SoHo hosted Postopolis! an innovative event that explored the interaction between blogging and architecture.  The launch of Postopolis! LA last night again brought out an international crowd of creative hipsterati working in a range of media to discuss 'art, architecture, music, film, design, planning, politics, sci-fi, special effects, geology, history, lost rivers, futurism, and archaeology'. More story and photos below...

This week organizers Jace Clayton from Mudd Up! (NYC), Geoff Manaugh from BLDGBLOG (SF), Bryan Finoki from Subtopia (SF), Dan Hill from City of Sound, David Basulto from ArchDaily, and Regine Debatty from we make money not art, bring this media orgy to LA.

Sponsored by Storefront for Art and Architecture and ForYourArt, Postopolis! LA is a forum for discussing the interaction of media ranging from architecture to blogging and everything in between.  Postopolis! LA continues through April 4th and is free and open to the public as part of Los Angeles Art Weekend.
