If you think a standard night out at a Hollywood club is a surreal exercise in practically having to beg people to let you give them lots of your money, you don't even realize how it went down last night. Regular tickets just to get in the door for this show were $100, and lest you think that all Benjamins are created equal, you had to pass a "pre-approval" to even be able to buy a ticket. If that sounds like they were screening for ugly people, pat yourself on the back, because yes, they were screening for ugly people.
