The Reading and Leeds Festivals are considered as a whole to be one of the largest and most venerable music festivals in Europe, and draw massive crowds to farm/fairgrounds areas outside of both cities (this is a holiday weekend in the UK). The festivals more or less share the same lineup, with the bands making the 200+ mile trip between festival sites to play a set at each. This year's lineup features The Strokes, Muse, Pulp, Jane's Addiction, The National, and about a gazillion other bands.
