
By day, the Macworld/iWorld show is like the floor of any tech-based convention: fluorescent lighting, lots of fanny packs and man-ponytails, and any girl who looks like she's too attractive to be there is most likely getting paid. However, the relatively narrow focus of the event produces one interesting wrinkle: since it's an Apple-only show, and Apple (for the last two years in a row) has declined to participate, most of the products being demonstrated and sold are not computers and phones but software and accessories. These accessories are often bizarre, like this combination helmet/headphones/lightning rod.
