What Ben Westhoff is mostly right about, even if he seems to be strangely gloating about it, is that not enough people (but certainly not "nobody") care about Real Hip Hop anymore. Wu-Tang Clan doesn't make music designed to be played in a Vegas nightclub, they make hip-hop designed to bump loudly out of an expensive stereo in a shitty car. There is a fundamental difference. But pegging the Wu as irrelevant because people are now listening to LMFAO is like telling people you're not going to read the unpublished J.D. Salinger manuscripts when they come out because Snooki's "novel" made the NYT bestseller list.
I am, however, willing to unhappily concede that Wu Wear may never make a serious comeback.
