The Bigfoot Lodge
When the 1933 Group opened Bigfoot Lodge in Atwater Village, the clear intention was to create place that looked and felt like a winter retreat. Designed as a log cabin with padded tree stumps for furniture, this local watering hole is decorated with deer heads and framed pictures of ducks and lakes mounted to the walls, taking hunting culture kitsch to the next level. Dimly lit with lamps and candles, guests are invited to cozy up by the campfire inside with a beer or a drink as they're transported to a winter lodge deep in the forest.
