OneRepublic, to me, sounds more like a vaguely hip clothing company that gives away 15% of their profits to literacy initiatives in Slovakia than a band, but since their lead songwriter Ryan Tedder is one of the biggest hired guns in pop songwriting, I guess the corporate vibe makes sense. In this regard, they were the absolutely perfect choice for this party.
