Alberta Cross Owns May Tuesdays At The Satellite

    There's nothing like getting to see The Next Big Thing in music before they become that way. Maybe your roommate grew up in Chicago with Kanye, or your dad saw The Beatles when Pete Best was still on the drums, or maybe you saw Lady Gaga when he was still a man named Stephan. But all of these discoveries probably involved trial and error, and lots of nights spent watching subpar music, waiting to find something that could blow you away.

    Well, let's take the guesswork out of this one: Alberta Cross, currently rocking The Satellite (formerly Spaceland) every Tuesday night this month, is going to be huge.

    How can we be so sure? Well, nothing's ever set in stone, but Ketel One just signed a deal to feature them in a brand new series of national TV commercials directed by David O. Russell. For the record, the last band to benefit from Ketel One's promotional largess in this way was Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and I'd say they're doing pretty O.K. these days. The vodka brand is also underwriting this month-long gig at The Satellite, and it may be your last chance to see these guys play for just ten bucks.
