Atlas Genius @ The Wiltern
With their single "Trojans" luckily featured on a music blog, these Australian alternative rockers gained instant buzz with the help of major record labels taking notice and over 45,000 downloads. Since the internet fairytale come true, Atlas Genius released their debut album, When It Was Now, featuring their chart-topping hits "Trojans" and "If So." The band consists of brothers Keith Jeffery on vocals and guitar, Steven Jeffery on bass, and Michael Jeffery on drums, along with friend Darren Sell on keyboard. Said to have been heavily influenced by The Beatles, Beck, Death Cab for Cutie, Phoenix, and The Police, their sound is a marriage of cool and catchy with simple, repetitive lyrics and upbeat guitar riffs.
