"Love You Madly" at House Of Blues John O'Brien, a film composer and music supervisor who worked on movies like Iron Man, Pineapple Express, and the "Detroit 1-8-7" TV series, was found dead in a hotel room at the age of 45 last year. To commemorate his life and benefit his family, some very big names, most notably a reunited (at least for one night) Velvet Revolver are playing sets for "Love You Madly," a benefit show at the House of Blues. Other highlights include Tom Morello's The Nightwatchman acoustic solo project, and the ever-beloved and always fantastic live Fishbone. That's probably the biggest question on most people's minds as super-It electropop group M83 (aka Anthony Gonzalez and crew) starts a major tour in anticipation (at least in our minds) of a big-time Coachella gig. The answer is a resounding yes, with a much-rehearsed show that includes trippy visuals, blacklight ambiance, and far more live instrumentation than you might think. And Club Nokia's relative intimacy among big-time venues will only serve to enhance all of the above. Bottom line, these guys know how to put on a show, and it's not to be missed.  [Tickets and Info] [via]
