Icona Pop @ The Fonda
Being yelled at by two women isn't so bad if they're Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo, the Swedish duo of Icona Pop. From humble beginnings, it was only a few years ago when they were sharing a mattress in London and borrowing money from friends to buy food.
"We have absolutely the best friends in Sweden. A lot of people don't have the friends we have. They borrowed us money so we could go home, they let us sleep on the couch. They never judged us."In 2010, their track, "Manners," hit number 19 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and just last year, "I Love It" took over the radio stations. Their success took them off the mattress to booked tours with Katy Pery and Miley Cyrus early next year. Before sharing the stage, and hopefully avoiding any twerking habits, Icona Pop will be performing at The Fonda tonight with their electro pop beats. [Details] [Photo via]
