Pixies @ Mayan Theatre
Alternative rock pioneers of the late 80s, the Pixies, are not only back on tour, but also have some new unreleased songs to share with you. Following a secret warmup show at the Echo last week and a three-night residency this week at the El Rey, the band plays their final L.A. date tonight, this time at the Mayan and you can bet they will go out with a bang. Although original bassist Kim Deal is not on tour, the Pixies bring their wild, noisy guitar peppered with catchy surf rock tunes that fans remember them for as they perform classics like "Wave Of Mutilation" and "Where Is My Mind." New material with the same beloved sound complements their hits while signaling a new, equally awesome era of Pixies music. Tonight is your final opportunity to see them live in L.A. so check Stubhub and Craigslist as this sold-out show is not to be missed. [Details] [Photo via]
