TruxMap Lite Food Truck Map
It's not really a big secret that the age of the "roach coach" has given way to the era of the respected L.A. food truck. Food trucks are now pushing the envelope of creative and dynamic cuisine, getting serious press from top critics, and have launched the careers of star chefs like Kogi's much-beloved Roy Choi. But, well, sometimes you just don't know exactly where these mobile wonderlands are. That's where TruxMap comes in. While there are several mobile apps and websites that track your favorite food trucks, TruxMap presents the best balance between a diverse selection of trucks (some apps only track about 10) and accurate location reporting (some apps don't update locations and will lead you far astray). It also tells you which trucks will be opening soon, so you can plan your lunch ahead of time. Like Parker, it's also functional in several cities in case you get the urge to chow down while out of town. Free, Available for iPhone and Android
