L.A. Pretty Much Owns "Cupcake Wars"

They have their own shops endorsed by celebrities, food trucks, and now a TV showCupcake culture has reached a new high with the Food Network's "Cupcake Wars," a show in which four of the country's top cupcake bakers (three of which are locals) compete in three elimination challenges. Apparently cupcake baking is a carefully honed culinary skill and requires more than following the directions on the box. You have to add the sprinkles and the stick the Oreo in the middle, duh!

Founder of Sprinkles Candace Nelson will judge the sweet delicacies served up by Bret Thompson of Milk on Beverly, Lindsay Morton of Dollhouse Bake Shoppe in Santa Monica and Erica Tucker of Sweet E's Bakeshop (delivery service around L.A.).  With the odds almost entirely in their favor, it looks like an L.A victory is pretty much in the bag and will only bolster our position at the top of the cupcake empire. Hey, bakers - if you're reading this, good luck and don't embarrass us!
