Less Downtown L.A. Traffic For This Summer's X Games

Some great news for those of you planning to attend this summer's X Games and hate traffic.  Rather than splitting the events of the extreme-sports competition between the Staples Center in downtown L.A. and the Home Depot Center in Carson, as has been the arrangement in years past, the games will all take place at venues within close proximity in downtown.

For this summer's 16th annual X Games, the events will be held at the Staples Center, the Nokia Theatre, the L.A. Coliseum, and LA Live, which means fans won't have to sit in freeway traffic anymore to get from one event to the next.  In years past, fans always had to make the tough call of deciding which games they could spare to miss for time spent in traffic to get to the other event location. That won't be an issue this year since the games will all be in the same general vicinity.  Good thinking, ESPN!

Supposedly X Games will be able to sell upwards of 70,000 more tickets than those sold last year, so don't get cocky thinking this move was all about you guys and your needs.
