I love a girl that knows how to not take herself too seriously. If you can’t beat them, join them…which is exactly what Lydia Hearst did. The super model dressed up as a tabloid from Page Six magazine for the first half of the night. Part one of her huge Masquerade night started with an intimate pre-party at the Alex and Ani showroom in Tribeca. We were treated with loads of jewelry from Carolyn Rafaelian (of Alex and Ani), who was the most gracious host you could ever ask for (she even helped me get into my fabulous, Keith Lissner couture dress). They also had several MAC makeup artists on hand to do our makeup.
More story and photos below:
Marissa Willinsky was my artist who took my “mother nature” theme a step beyond what I could imagine, design in a real life mask on my face out of leaves. She is the most creative makeup artist I’ve had work on my face.
Guests at the pre party included Gillian Hearst Simonds and Christian Simonds, looking fabulous together, Scott Buccheit and Naeem Delbridge, the organizers of it all, Carolyn Rafaelin, Sparrow, Alan Rish, Marie La France, Kate Christian, Katie Giannone, Katie Germin, Richie Rich, Susan Kilkenny, Alan Katz, Renata Merriam, and Megan Benson among others. Jonathon Ziegler was there from PMc, and Jamie Chiu from GofG to capture the fun.
There was sushi, appetizers, and SKYY cocktails to go around, champagne served in specially designed Halloween flasks; I wanted to stay there all night. But we were off…to party 2 at 1Oak to meet up with all of the other masked Halloween goers. We wore our Alex and Ani bracelets as a badge of honor the rest of the evening. Stay tuned for our full gallery from this event.
