Pooja Karbhanda, designer behind 6 Shore Road, is no stranger to Miami Swim Week. With three runway shows behind her belt, she decided that she wanted to make this year a little different. Kharbanda traded in a catwalk for a “beach to bar” themed party with Jose Cuervo hosted by Adrienne Bailon (known best for her days as a Cheetah Girl and girlfriend of Rob Kardashian), the former with whom she created an exclusive swimsuit and print for the upcoming season.
Models sported this limited-edition piece in addition to key selects from her resort 2017 collection with Faena’s backyard as the epic backdrop, complete with a gilded Damien Hirst mammoth. While guests mingled poolside with a variety of Authentic Jose Cuervo Margaritas, we caught up with Pooja to get her take on everything from the future of Swim Week, and what’s on her hit list while she’s down in SoBe.
