Meet Hercules At The W Hotel Tonight

Brooklyn-based DJ and Hercules and Love Affair frontman Andrew Butler started his career at 15 in a Denver leather bar whose hostess went by Chocolate Thunder Pussy. Tonight, he graduates to decidedly glossier digs at Lexington Avenue's W Hotel. No word yet on whether hotel staffers will come with their own raunchy nicknames, but you can find out for free at 8pm.

Hercules and Love Affair got major buzz after their 2008 single "Blind" dared listeners not to dance upon first listen. Now at the forefront of the global disco revival (led locally by the DFA label and its co-founder, LCD Soundsytem singer James Murphy), the group is scheduled to play grimy megaclubs around Europe this winter. So groove to the mythically named hometown heroes while you can.
