"Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" by Nicki Minaj
We all remember the incomprehensible mess that was Ms. Minaj's Grammy performance. She seems to have rebounded with the top ten single "Starships," but I was most interested in hearing the studio version of the song she performed back in February. "Roman Holiday" is spastic, but far more coherent in it's polished studio form. The rest of the disc wavers between ridiculously hardcore rap and bubblegum pop. The transition can be grating but as long the album can produce more singles (which is should), she will me seeing a whole lot more of Nicki in 2012.
