It's Valentine's Day and you're all by yourself. As much as you want to be mad, you remember you were in the same place last year. Trust us, it's not just you, and many of those in relationships are spending extra money for cheap champagne and day-old oysters. Take the day to treat yourself or better yet, love yourself.
It's that time of year when, if you're single, a couple, or even a throuple, you may be at your most insecure. Flowers die, chocolate makes you fat, but you can't go wrong with wine. But where to start? With so many options you want to make sure you're spending the night with the wine of your life. Red, white, rose, we don't discriminate and neither should you, try one from our list, or go all out and try them all!
It's not really Fashion Week in our book until we accidentally crash Pete Wentz's private booth at a party. No really, you'd be surprised how many times we've done this. In any case, that means last night was a true kick-off, as we caught a raucous A$AP Rocky performance right alongside Mr. Fall Out Boy himself.
The Life of Pablo, the life of Yeezus. Because the end of days is nigh, Kanye West's massive Madison Square Garden presentation was the pinnacle of New York Fashion Week. Thousands turned out (many paying big bucks for a ticket) to the Yeezy Season 3 show and album drop, probably expecting a live performance. Essentially though, it was just a spectacle of a listening party.
One particularly chill evening earlier this week - not that they haven't all been of a remarkably unpleasant degree as of late - Alexandria Geisler gathered with an intimate group of friends at one of our favorite haunts, Acme Downstairs. The very first of her new CITIPHILE Supper Club series, a monthly 12-seat traveling dinner party that celebrates New York chefs and fashion's biggest influencers, we'd say the lovely little affair was quite the success.
Ah, the excitement of a heart racing love. Second only to the excitement of a heart racing sugar high. Everyone knows that when it comes to Valentine's Day, it's not the thought that counts, it's the chocolate. Enjoy!
During Fashion Week, there's nothing better than knowing those new and fresh designers who will be hitting the runway and will have everyone talking afterwards. Be ready to take notes because in about one year (or less) you'll be able to tell your friends "I told you so."
As Day 1 of NYFW took off, the streets were filled with stylish showgoers. We hung out around Moynihan Station and Madison Square Garden (where A-listers like ASAP Rocky headed into the Kanye show) for look at the best street style of the day.
Talk about supermodels! Last night, GARAGE Magazine celebrated its 10th issue, featuring Karlie Kloss, Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Lexi Boling and Cuba Tornado Scott as Marvel's coolest female superheroes. Of course this called for super-powered NYFW bash with the iconic comic brand.
Because of course Yeezy would publish a totally risqué fashion zine to help launch his new line, last night he launched it at a two-story parking garage on Kenmare Street. Joined by Kim, Virgil Abloh, and Heron Preston, Kanye and guests took in the NSFW photos (shot by Jackie Nickerson) featuring lots of nudity and horses. In case you were wondering, yes, there were also plenty of beige bodysuits in attendance. Click through for some snaps inside the event!
