The Met: Human Bhabha ’We Come in Peace’

The Met presents ‘We Come in Peace’ by Pakistani artist, Huma Bhabha. ‘We Come in Peace’ is the sixth commissioned site-specific installation for the Met’s Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Roof Garden. The installation is comprised by human figures made from found materials and detritus of everyday life. Often described as “post apocalyptic,” Bhabha’s work addresses themes of war, colonialism, displacement and memories of place.
