Jean-Frédéric Schnyder Exhibition
There are only ten days left to check out Jean-Frédéric Schnyder’s solo exhibition at the Swiss Institute, a series of small format landscape paintings and a 2009 video installation titled Corso Schnapsparade (“Liquor Parade”). The exhibition is a flippant, kitschy ribbing of Western art. Of his work, Schnyder remarks: “I do not care which associations my paintings provoke. Swastika, crucifix and sugar cubes are just motives which are interesting to paint.”
