Ghosts in the Machine

In a related exhibition, The New Museum's "Ghost in the Machine" further explores the theme of mankind's uneasy relationship with technology. Early 20th century "mystical outsider artists" mingle with their successors, laying bare how technology transformed the world we live in and the art we create in response to that world.

Three floors of work, from such artists as Francois Morellet and Stan VanDerBeek, speak to this dynamism over the past 100 years, and encourage us to question what the next 100 might have in store.

Dates: July 18 - September 30

Location: New Museum
