Controlled Substance at MAKEBISH

MAKEBISH is presenting its inaugural exhibition, Controlled Substance, starting May 15. Artists Kika Karadi and William Anskis will both be featured in the show, displaying paintings that are as much about the process as they are about the result. While each of Karadi's pieces were "developed" using inks, powders, solvents and coatings as she watched various noir films, Anskis took up arms for his work, shooting rounds of shotgun shells onto a piece of wood and then exposing the tattered aftermath.
