Friday Is International Museum Day!

    International Museum Day has been a world-wide event since 1977, and this year, many of New York's museums will waiving or reducing their fees on Friday in honor of the event.

    On May 18, museums in all five boroughs are offering free entrance or special deals to people who are looking to check out the normally pricey shows, reports Gallerist NY.

    Some of the most exciting exhibits on Friday's lineup include a 2-for-1 admission to "Keith Haring 1978-1982" at The Brooklyn Museum; 1/2 priced tickets when purchased online to "Cindy Sherman" at the MoMA; and pay what you wish from 6-9pm for "Whitney Biennial" at the Whitney Museum of Art.

    You'll also be able to check out the buzzed about "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations" exhibit at the Met, though the museums hasn't yet released the discount they'll be offering.
