History Behind The Club

76 Wooster is best known as one of Warhol’s hideaways, but it welcomed a horde of historic tastemakers and creators. Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Donald Judd, and Dan Flavin are just a few major creators who frequented the space. But if that isn’t enough to solidify this loft’s ultra-cool status, you should know that it once functioned as Grace Jones’ restaurant and more recently exhibited a “visual tribute for John Lennon’s 71st birthday,” Yoko Ono’s homage to John Lennon, in 2011.
