"Best $2k I Ever Spent!" NYC's Ultimate Pole Dance Competition

Photos by DAVID X PRUTTING for PMc] If you think pole dancing is a silly activity revolving around dirty strip clubs without any substantial benefit to society, you may be right. However, these days this activity, which many consider to be a legitimate "sport" has had a new makeover.  From housewives to metropolitan women, many are joining in the fun by taking "pole dancing" classes to get fit. Heck, Oprah even does it! Last night, six of America's most skillful pole dancers competed infront of an audience of ogle-eyed spectators at the Highline Ballroom for a chance to win $10k, and take home this years title of "The Pole Superstar."

    Barbara Dial took home gold, with what we're sure was and incredible performance.  Live video is HERE. The dance contest benefits a new organization called S.P.I.N. (Single Parents In Need). More photos of the women in action below...
