Amongst the 70 guests attending are: Academy Award winner, Celeste Holm; Cabaret veterans Steve Ross, Julie Wilson; KT Sullivan, Klea Blackhurst; Verve Recording Artist, Nellie McKay; jazz singer Michelle Pirret; Lynn Lane (widow of Broadway composer Burton Lane); Rochelle Mancini; actor/writer Ellen Gould; TV Producer Nina Greenberg.
Bernard Bierman was born in 1908, and had over 60 recordings of his songs by artists such as Sarah Vaughan, Frank Sinatra, Billy Eckstine, Guy Lombardo, as well as a featured song in the Woody Allen film, "Crimes And Misdemeanors". After working as a staff composer for Shapiro/Bernstein from 1947-1951, he left the music business to head the Master Painter's Association of NYC until his retirement in the 1980's. He now continues to write music from his home in Manhattan's East Village.
