The Society Film Screening Series Presents: You Wont Miss Me

The critics have called it "unconventional", "avant-garde" and "buzz-worthy". We like to simply call it The Society Screening Series - featuring avant-garde films by unconventional artists. Buzz-worthy indeed! Since premiering at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, You Wont Miss Me directed by Ry Russo-Young has been impressing audiences at SXSW, BAMcinemaFEST and the Marfa film festivals. Next up is NYC as The Society invites you to a special screening of this kaleidoscopic portrait of a 23 year old urban misfit who has recently been released from a psychiatric hospital. Starring Stella Schnabel (yes, daughter of famed American artist Julian Schnabel), featuring Rene Ricard, and introducing other notable New York personalities, the film gives pathos to the frenzy of a youthful desire for acceptance. After the screening, the director herself, along with star of the film Stella Schnabel, will be on hand for an intimate and interactive Q&A.
