Winner of the Tribeca Film Festival Award for Best Documentary, Pray the Devil Back to Hell (Gini Reticker, 2008, 71 min., NR) recounts the remarkable story of the Liberian women who came together to end a bloody civil war and bring peace to their country. Dialogue and a question-and-answer session with producer Abigail E. Disney, director Gini Reticker, and philanthropist Dr. Elizabeth Sackler follow the film exhibition. The screening is brought to you by the Metro NY Chapter of the US National Committee for UNIFEM in collaboration with the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art. Access to the screening is free and open to the public with the purchase of a Brooklyn Museum ticket (regular admission: $10, students with valid ID: $6, and adults 62+:$6).
