Temperley London is hosting a fundraiser for The Retreat at their East Hampton Boutique this holiday season. From Thursday, December 3rd through Monday, December 7th,10% of sales will be donated to support The Retreat’s mission to provide safety, shelter and support for victims of domestic abuse and to break the cycle of family violence.
For more than 20 years the Retreat has been providing domestic violence services and education to families on the East End of Long Island. Programs include a residential shelter, a 24-hour domestic violence hotline, individual and group counseling for women and children, legal advocacy and an in-school violence prevention education program taught in our local schools.
In the past twelve months, demand for services at The Retreat has increased almost 40%. “There is a tremendous need to meet this demand, not only for the wellbeing of our clients, but for our community as a whole,” says Executive Director Jeffrey Friedman. "The holiday season is a particularly difficult time for our clients. We are thankful that local companies like Temperley London are helping us to raise awareness and additional funds before the year-end."
