A new bar & lounge called BURN! Located in Hell's Kitchen, has defined a recession proof way to turn your New York City restaurant into a bar and lounge. Adam Honig, Owner of Lasagna Ristorante, and his midnight marketing partner Sara Losonci, have taken a favorite princess fairy tale theme and used it to put a unique twist on their new bar. "Lasagna turns to Burn" is an idea that takes the Italian restaurant and turns it into a bar at midnight. Every Saturday night when 11 pm hits, Lasagna staff clear out the tables, lower the lights, throw up some more candles, bust out the drink specials, bring in DJ Junior and throw a party. Honig said, “many restaurants will close for one hour to change over the restaurant into a bar but I don’t want to lose the business so whether our customers are still eating or not, at 11:00 pm Lasagna turns to BURN and by midnight, it gets crazy! At first the customers got anxious and confused, finished up and left quickly but now customers enjoy being part of the chaos and stay to see what happens. BURN has a sexy lounge space in the back for parties and events to reserve and the drink specials are cheap, $6 for a cocktail, $4 for a beer and $2 for a shot. Every weekend something new is going on and in the fall BURN will host a launch party for an up and coming designer along with a website launch party for a new NYC blog.
