Direct Arts: Paper Angels Benefit

Direct Arts in collaboration with the Museum for Chinese in America, and Asian American Arts Alliance hosts an evening of cocktails, performances and a silent auction to launch the upcoming theatrical production of Paper Angels: A multimedia production centered on Chinese immigration to Angel Island in 1915. The Paper Angels Gala will consist of performances by traditional Indonesian dance group Saung Budaya, and traditional Korean drumming by Vongku Pak. Silent auction sponsors include: Film Forum, Marc Jacobs, Sony Music, Powerhouse Books, and Freemanâ┚¬â”žÂ¢s Sporting Club. Tickets for the evening start at $50.
