Debbie Van Bourgondien (The Bulb Lady) will discuss white daffodil cultivars, their merits, uses, and fragrance, with proposals for pot culture and forcing. She will describe options for naturalizing, woodland planting, successful companions. There will be an illustrated lecture and time for questions as well as a tour through the white daffodil areas at LongHouse Reserve.
The Van Bourgondien family has been involved in the growing and the marketing of flower bulbs for over seven generations. In the fall Debbie plants over 100,000 tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, lilies and a variety of specialty bulbs in her garden for spring bloom. In June, they are replaced by over seventy five species of flowering annuals and summer flowering bulbs. Her garden has been featured in Country Living Gardener, Coastal Living, Southern
Living, Newsday among other periodicals.
