Day of the Dead at Mayahuel

The East Village hotspot honors the Day of the Dead with antojitos (appetizers) and tequila (duh). And in case you need a refresher, the Day of the Dead is a ritual practiced throughout Mexico that gives people a chance to pay homage to loved ones lost. In New York, mixologist Philip Ward will be fueling the cocktail party with custom tequila creations, and the kitchen will be supplying traditional antojitos. Meanwhile, guests are encouraged to write the names of people and pets that have passed at the "Sugar Skull Station."
