Pillar of New York Gala

The Preservation League will honor two families with proud traditions of stewardship and preservation of New York’s irreplaceable buildings and landscapes with its most prestigious tribute, the Pillar of New York Award. The Pell Family will be celebrated for the for their leadership since 1820 in the preservation of Fort Ticonderoga and its surroundings, the Pratt Family for their leadership in the founding and preservation of the Pratt Institute Campus, design excellence, and landscape protection. The black tie Pillar of New York Gala will be held on November 18, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at the Hilton and Empire Rooms of the Waldorf=Astoria in New York.
