#4 Billboard Jazz artist Marcus Johnson will be performing at the Blue Note Jazz Club as part of the venue's famous "Late Night Groove Series" following the Dizzy Gillespie Alumni All-Stars on Saturday, October 24. The performance will start at 12 AM as part of the Blue Note's famous "Late Night Groove Series" following the Dizzy Gillespie Alumni All-Stars at 10:30 PM. The Blue Note is located at 131 W 3rd St, - intersection of W 3rd St and Washington Square West. Additionally, Marcus will chatting it up with Al Roker on NBC's "Wake Up With Al" on Monday, Oct 26 at 6:00 AM, performing songs from album, Poetically Justified.
His recently released 11th solo album Poetically Justified is a daring and brilliant compilation of contemporary jazz, ranking the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Charts at #4. As a national and international jazz legend, Johnson’s recent musical appearances include a solo performance at the Justice Department in Washington, DC for Domestic Violence Awareness Month with the US Attorney General Eric Holder in attendance, The Wave at Kyoto Grand Hotel in LA and numerous jazz festivals including the Munich Jazz Festival in Germany. Johnson has shared the stage with greats such as Erykah Badu, Chaka Khan, BB King, Boney James and Rachelle Ferrell, among many others. He is also the recipient of numerous awards for his entrepreneurial and musical prowess.
