Ella Lounge (9 Avenue A between 1st & 2nd Streets) will celebrate its one year anniversary on October 15th, 2009 at 9:00 PM with an event to launch "Studio A at Ella", an intimate cutting room for established and emerging artist to share and showcase their music. The event will include an open Ella Bar from 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM followed by a number of live performances beginning at 10:30 PM. Since its opening last October, Ella, owned by Darin Rubell, Josh Boyd and Jordan Boyd, has successfully brought the glamour of the roaring 20's and 30's back to the East Village and attracted an impressive number of unique musicians. Ella's anniversary event will feature performances by Miami's The Big bounce, Afrobeta and James Kinney.
