The Girl Scout Council of Greater New York will celebrate its 17th Annual Women of Distinction Breakfast on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, by honoring eight remarkable women: Kathy Brand, Vita M. Harris, Nancy Hill, Liz Kaplow, Meredith Moore, Myrtle Potter, Valerie Salembier and Susan M. Schor, Ph.D. at the Hilton New York Hotel. Deborah Norville will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies. Cheryl L. Swiatkowski is the Breakfast Chair. The Women of Distinction Breakfast begins promptly at 7:30 AM in the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton New York Hotel located on Sixth Avenue between 53rd and 54th Streets. Tickets are priced at $150 and above. Proceeds from the event will help fund vital services and educational programs for thousands of Girl Scouts throughout the five boroughs.
