he National Domestic Violence Hotline (NDVH) and Marshalls have joined together to take a stand against domestic violence in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which is October.
On October 8, 2009 in Union Square, actress and domestic violence advocate, Robin Givens, will be on-hand to unveil a symbolic exhibit honoring all those who take a stand against domestic violence. The exhibit, which was unveiled on October 1st in Santa Monica, California will also feature information about the cause and celebrity messages of support from Jennifer Love Hewitt, Rosie Perez, Martina McBride, Vivica A. Fox, Chaka Khan, Joe Torre, Laura Leighton, Tim Gunn and more…
This event is in conjunction with the national “Shop Til it Stops” in-store program where for every pair of shoes purchased at Marshalls during October 1-15th, one dollar — up to $150,000 — will be donated to the NDVH to help put an end to domestic violence.
