During the weekend of October 16th through October 18th, The New Yorker presents its tenth annual Festival, a three-day series of events that brings together some of the world’s most talented and distinguished people in the fields of literature, art, film, music, humor, business, food, politics, design, and science.
Saturday's line-up features interviews with Tyler Perry, Stanley Tucci, Tilda Swinton, James Franco and Jason Schwartzman, screenings of Alfred Hitchcock's "Shadow of a Doubt" and Jean-Luc Godard's "King Lear," a Music Biz panel discussion, an interview with and performance by Neko Case, and a special sneak-preview screening of "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire."
A portion of the ticket proceeds from this year’s Festival will be donated to Harlem Children’s Zone, which offers a holistic network of education, social services, and community-building programs to children and families in Harlem.
